  1. Here is the finished product. Now that its done I think I need to bring the belt loops down a bit so it sits a little higher. not bad but really need to get some new shirts.
  2. Thanks guys!! I have made changes and I have cut out and started the sheath. Thanks for the help
  3. Updated pic, 5/8" stitch line and belt loops are 5/8" from stitch line. and redrawn sweat guard. If this is good would I cut bot sides out to match this design, stitch then form? Thanks again
  4. I just got myself a cc handgun and need to build a holster. Its a PT145. Does this design look ok? should anything be changed? This is my second holster, the other was just a pouch style for a single six. I am thinking I need to bring the belt loops closer to the handgun. Thanks for any help
  5. You cannot see it but I do have my makers mark on the back. Its cut out of the pic. I had one made when I started to make my knife sheaths. Thanks
  6. If anyone has any input on doing things better for my next one I am all ears! I am still learning
  7. Thanks all, I feel I did pretty good. I am happy with the finish.
  8. I built a holster for my Ruger Single Six and thought I would share. Finished it a few days ago and just got around to taking some pics. I wanted something that was not 1 solid color so I dyed it with light brown and used a piece of leather that had a bit of grain to it. This is the first holster I have ever made. Hold the revolver tight plus added a hammer retention. I am really happy with it.
  9. Thanks for the info Guys! Whats the best thong to use 1 strap with a loop 2?
  10. Hello all, I am somewhat new here. I have been building sheaths for my custom knives for about a year now but I want to progress. I am looking at building a holster for my Ruger single six and was just wondering if there are any good patterns for this gun around? I do have an old holster I could copy but looking at other styles. I want a western holster. The one I have now has a welt/spacer, Is that normal or it is better to not use one when looking for a tight fit? Also what are the best options for a retention strap with out using snaps? I carry the revolver when trapping so I need to know it will stay in the holster. Also is a lining material needed? what would be the best liner, Pig, deer, ect? Thanks in advance for any help
