    For those of you interested in Learning Lastmaking September is here, and registration for Our October group last making class is quickly approaching.   3. Yep you have a few options. 1. Ebay often has auctions for really in-expensive lasts 2. You could buy new, at www.globalfootwearsolutions.com 3. You could send a cast of the foot you are designing for,to lastmakingschool.com and a member can make a last for you. for this to happen you must use either a fiberglass casting socks or rigid wrap plaster bandage ( you can get at the craft store) just make sure you cast them in a non wieght baring and wieght baring position at a exact 90 degree angle. that is two casts of each foot. these are hand made last. built to order. 4. You could learn to make lasts at lastmakingschool.com/ the intermediate course is a great course. if you are a custom footwear maker, it is the place to go and worth the price.
  4. Hi yahall! I have been away for quiet a while, been busy teaching classes but I am back now. I am the cordinator of lastmaking school.com. We have been setting up the site recently, and have listed our classes for 2010. if any of you would be in controlling the total design of your work in last and shoe making we have many classes avaliable in a veriety of levels and adding more classes everyday.
