  1. I bought this exact same kit. WOW I had a lot of things missing and there were no patters to trace out for the projects that come in the kit. I was VERY disappointed and I bought this kit from SLC. Granted I will probably continue to buy other things from SLC, but I sure would suggest you go a different route than buying a kit from them.
  2. I don't remember were but i saw somewhere that someone who makes stamps was giving away free made in america stamps. I think all you had to pay for was shipping. I just wish I could remember were i seen it.
  3. That is exactly what I was thinking. I mean really 1k for this thing. I know they could sell the whole thing for 550 to 600 and still make money. Maybe even more since I am sure they would sell more.
  4. This is why you look for Made In America on the label or stamped in the leather.
  5. Anyone own one, tried one, what do you think?? http://powermallet.com/
  6. I just wanted to get some other people opinion on this small issue I have with a supplier. I ordered a pro starter kit from Springfield leather on the 26th of Oct. I received the kit on the 2nd of Nov. and noticed there were some pieces missing from the kit. Some of the pieces missing were the cutting board, a 4 prong hole punch, bees wax, the check book kit, and some different snaps. I was treated very well by the lady I spoke with at SL. I received the missing items today the 6th Nov. Now my big problem is this. When getting a starter kit you expect to get instructions. As i did receive what I think is the check book, there are no instructions on how to tool it or sew it. I have 3 pieces of leather that I have no i deal what to do with. Also the kit came with a money clip kit. In this kit it has the instructions on how to toll it and sew it together, BUT in the pro starter kit there is only 1 stamp used to make the money clip. Shouldn't the stamps to complete these projects come in the kit? I have found 9 stamps that I would need to complete the money clip and with out any instructions or tracing patterns for the check book, i have no idea what stamps I would need. For nearly 270.00 I would expect this PRO starter kit to be a little more complete. Thanks for reading Harold Smith
  7. George, I know if you can make the saddle that you are standing in from of in your pic, you can knock this out of the park. Be sure and post some pics as you go.
  8. Thanks George, I will get in touch with your nephew.
  9. Hunio, great looking work. I really like your edges. Thanks for sharing your pictures.
  10. Thanks Glendon, I will check out the web site and with the college
  11. When it comes to making a website I am for sure a dummy. Can anyone suggest someone who is reasonable at creating a website? Thanks.
  12. Andy that is a great looking piece. Just wonder where you find the money clip?
  13. Thanks TwinOaks and Andy for the help. I will look into Adobe Illustrator and see what I can come up with. I totally understand the busy part. I own a motorcycle and Atv repair business plus trying to do a little something on the side. This defiantly eats up the time. Thanks again guys.
