pantera2075 Report post Posted October 28, 2011 Hello all, I'm what you guys call a gearhead - in England a Petrolhead. BUT, as my mum taught me to sew when I was much younger on her 60's Brother (Still in regular service BTW - the machine - not my mum - you'd have to ask my dad about the rest) I'm not afraid of (and in fact am looking forward to) doing all the interior for my 1971 Detomaso Pantera (It was burned out so I have to restore EVERYTHING) - That incidentally I imported from Lancaster PA. Anyways, over time I have been collecting old sofas via a give-away site we have over here called "Freegle" I scrap (junk) them and keep the leather. I have realised that my Singer 99k isn't up to it, so have acquired an Industrial Pfaff 463 for £49 or about $80 But it's a high-speed with a Jones clutch motor. I'm an Engineer by trade. Can I gear it down and add a roller foot? Or am I better to fix it up, sell it, and get a walking foot machine? Sorry for all the brackets and dashes - (I keep remembering things) All comments or advice welcome. I am open to advice on any level. Thanks Phil
