All right, so I made a belt recently that I used mahogany antique stain on. I applied using a damp sponge and wiped off using another damp sponge as directed. Didn't get much of an antique effect unfortunately. Before, when I used antique stain, I used a dry wool dauber and I believe I wiped off using a dry cotton cloth, which is completely different than the directions, but gave a great antique effect. What am I supposed to be doing?
