TwinOaks Report post Posted February 14, 2015 I'm sure you'll see advocates for both chime in, but since both are so similar, I think the issue will come down to price. If they're both the same price, flip a coin. The only thing I recommend between the two of them is to make sure the one you choose has a reverse.As long as both are reconditioned correctly, either should serve you quite well. Wizcrafts Report post Posted February 15, 2015 Another reason for the price difference is that the Juki LU-1508 series is a premium, current line. While the straight N sub-model can be had for as little as $2200, some of that series sell for over $3,000, depending on the bells and whistles attached to it. The 1508NH is just one step down from the CB3200 in capacity (it uses a longer needle system).They are made in Japan and parts are readily available. Also, they have a unique rectangular feed dog motion that helps maintain matched feeding on the top and bottom, no matter what material you are sewing. The Adler 467 will do about the same as the 1508N, but sewing over 3/8 inch all the time will be running it at its limit. Both have larger than standard bobbins and hooks. awharness Report post Posted February 16, 2015 I went down this road, compared and contrasted both models. Nick-O has both machines as well as his house brand of the 1508. I went with the Adler, phenomenal machine. Nick is one hell of a guy, bought several machines from him! The rebuilt Adler on new stand, motor, speed reducer and all the right feet, feed dogs and set up! I wan to say around $1,100. He can also convert ove frm 135 needle system to the 190 if preferred!
