Where To Store Leather

Recommended Posts

I work out of my basement and in the winter it gets around, I would say 58 to 60 degrees during our cold nights with just a little humidity. It gets alittle heat from the upstairs portion of the house.

Is it safe to store my Bull Hides & Horse Hides in that temp ? Or should I store them upstairs. I stock about 20 to 30 double shoulders each month.

Most of the basement is underground so that helps and in the Summer stays nice and cool.

Should I move them or are they OK.

Thanks for any advice.....

That temp won't hurt anything, long as the humidity isn't bad. And, if you're going through several hundred feet of the stuff a month, don't sound like you're doing alot of "storing" :)
