  1. Hi Art, Once again thanks for the reply. I checked out the Cambel site with interest. Guess I've some saving up to do to afford all the bits I need!. Regards. Nobby.
  2. Hi Art, Many thanks for the reply. Can I ask what would be your recommendation for a machine for heavy duty sewing?. I do a lot of handbell and tower bell leather restoration that requires sewing between 8 - 25mm (5/8 - 1 inch in old money) of stiff'ish leather. Up to date, I've been doing this by hand but demand is wearing hard on my hands!. Regards. Nobby
  3. Hi, I'm new to this site and have had trouble finding answers to a question via the search tool so please pardon me if I'm asking a answered question. Some time ago I was given a 29K71. Even came with a supply of needles and thread although do to how these had been stored the labels were unreadable. After recently repairing the machine, having run out of thread and lost the needles after a move I need to ask a basic question. I have a guide for the needles that can be used in a 29K71 which also shows the thread to uses per needle. It does not give any indication as to suitability against leather thickness. So I'm not sure, for example, what needles and thread to buy for leather 2mm, 5mm etc. I either sew shoe repairs or fairley thick stiff leather between 5 & 10mm. I was hoping someone might be able to give me an idea of what needles and thread to use for general all round repair work and for the thicker end of the scale. Also, when using the largest needles and thread, what is the best bobin thread to use?. Any answers greatfully received. Regards. Nobby
