Giving Out Leather Care Instructions With Sale.

Recommended Posts

Does anyone distribute any "Leather Care Instructions" when they sell a holster or other leather product?

I do - I make it the back of the label so they keep the label and, hopefully, also keep my address and contact details which are on the other side. I don't put much specific on it but more basic, general stuff (under the headings of 'Clean, Condition, Polish and Protect') and I mention products generally that they may want to try. If I put too much detail on and they screw up they may want to blame me. It's also a good place for any warnings about dye coming off until broken-in and so on.

I put a nice "care and feeding" instruction list on the back of my packing slip.

We have a thread here called "Care and feeding" that covers this exact topic. The general consensus is that by providing the customer with care instructions, you not only appear more professional, but also dedicated to customer service.
