hey guys and gals i was bored the other night and thinking bout cheap easy ways to color leather and i thought to myself Self what would cherry cool aide do to leather so i put a packet into bout a 1/4 cup of warm water and the submerged a tooled scrap in it for a couple hours here are the pics right after it came out of the cool aide and the after 2 coats of neats foot oil and the 2 coats of tan coat

I've heard of people using Cool Aid to dye fabric before and I woudn't mind giving it a try as your piece looks like it's come up quite well, though I'm not sure if Cool aid is sold in Australia as I've never seen it.

Interesting!

I once had a friend who covered the gray in her deep chestnut colored hair with a paste of black cherry and grape Kool-Aide. Worked slick, and was cheaper than dirt compared to buying commerical hair dye.
