missmolly Report post Posted October 2, 2009 I just got my new saddle today and the fenders and skirt are rough out. What can I do to soften the rough parts...especially the fenders? I have read somewhere before that there is a difference between the right way rough out and the cheap way rough out. I believe mine is the cheap way rough out...I looked unter the jocky, fenders and skirt and it's shiney...kinda like the put the smooth side of the leather under neath. I also wondering if there is a non darkening conditioner that will help protect the rough out? I have never owned a rough out saddle before so this is all new to me!
