  1. Hello I have a Standard Leather Splitting Machine with 13" Blade. Ideal for Saddlery and Shoe Leather. This was purchased for a one off job and is now no longer needed. It is motorised by a single phase motor that works off of domestic power, (240v). It is very simple to use and rather accurate considering its age, desired thickness is achieved by adjusting the top roller by the use of the small top wheel. All desired thicknesses are measured from 0 - 18 Irons. The motor is housed underneath the splitter in the table base and has an on-off push button switch on the face of table for easy access. The machine has recently been serviced (company details of which can be supplied if needed). A weld repair had been made prior to my ownership to the metal hand guard/rest but this has no bearing on the operation of the machine what so ever. There are some markings on the rollers and again it does not appear to effect its operation. The blade is in very good condition, rust free and sharp which can be seen working upon collection. If you have any questions please feel free to message me anytime. Dimensions Table Height - 860mm Depth - 520mm Length - 870mm Overall Height (Table and Splitter)- 1340mm Approx Weight 450Kg Standard, the company that manufactured this machine can still supply parts and service blades etc. PLEASE NOTE: This is a very heavy machine (450Kg) and buyer must arrange for collection, it is in Fareham, Hampshire and has been palleted so is ready for transportation.
  2. Hi I was wondering how long it took you and did you follow a pattern? I would love to make one of these myself. Thanks for sharing and good work.
