  1. Hi, we are getting an English bulldog pup NeXT week, but as they grow fast to an adult size, I would love to have made a personalized dog collar, preferably a dogcollar in a thick and padded collar. I have many ideas an wishes, but perhaps we could come to an agreement as to how we want it made and prize. Hope you will make contact With us.
  2. Hi Ray and thanks for the great help. I have been asking around to see what "my targetinggroup" are looking for (in this case Bondage and Restraints) and gotten some clear awnsers so I guess I'll start off there... But as you say - it is a matter of finetuning and I hope I hit the right choises and products. Thanks for the advices and opinions - they are greately apriceated! Jonny
  3. Thanks UKRay - yeah - I know that everyone wants to find out what sells the best , maby I explained myself abit poorly... but it is a good advice. I only feel like I'm baning my head against the wall when big companys selles to a small prize but in bad quality, how can I convince that my quality isn't "made in HongKong" type of style... no offence to anyone, but it just feels a bit frustrating... But I'll take your advice and start asking around! TwinOaks, thanks for your advice too, I was wondering - do you think that a type of DIY kits would sell as well? I have also been to sites as Saroftreve.com, skinnlaaven.no and jjensen.no where they sell Hardware for Leathering and skincrafts, where could I get my hands on large quantetys on such things as fastners and alike? Maby "hard-to-find" objects are a thing too? Thanks for all the advices, keep 'em comming! Jonny
  4. Hi, maby you guys can help me out... Some years ago I went to a Biker Event in the Netherlands/Holland and I bought a very special sheat for my folding knife wich I got very fond of. I put the knife blade in first and it bendt inwards, consealing the blade. When I pulled the shaft towards me, the blade slid into place and locked as it left the sheat... It was very dear to me but when we relocated into our new home, it was lost among a few other items. I have been searching for a blueprint or a photo of it so that I could remake it, but maby you guys got a picture or a pattern to something similar?? Jonny
  5. Hi ya' all I have a question I'd like some help with... Being fully aware of that the majorety of members here are Americans I still am in need of your opinions... Because of worksituation I am forced to soon look at trying to get in more money to the family economy - at least part time. I am a skilled woodworker and enjoy making decorative and usefull things of different types of wood, but lately I have also tried out some stuff of leather and it looks okay... I have been playing around of starting my own company for parttime sales, I am able to Import stuff but I'd rather sell my own products where I can asure for high quality. But how can I find out what will sell and how can I get a feel of wht the market wants?? I have made everything from dog harness and up to suspension cuffs for bdsm uses and to wristbands... I have been trying to write emails to petsuppliers, erotic companys and fashion companys and asking what products sells the best but without any really good replys... Maby you guys (and gals) could give me some pointers? what to sell, how to sell, what price to set, disclaimers?... All replys are very welcome! Jonny
  6. Kjempeflott jobb Tom! Du er en god inspirasjon for meg og jeg prøver å kopiere endel av arbeidet ditt men det blir ikke på langt nær så bra som ditt arbeide men det er jo gøy å prøve! Keep up the good work!!
  7. Hi Gary, nice to see that others has Berner's as well, you'll find a picture of mine at onother place here on the forum. As for the saddlebags, I was wondering to get a hold of an old one and disect it and use it for copy. The thing I first entended to use it for was at certain shows and just for general "show off", I had not intention to use it for longer trips... I ould also think that about 3 mm would do the trick... He is 4 years old and used to cartpulling, using saddlebags and to play around in the snow... I have also though about a Chestguard with the Swiss cross or the Berneese Bear flag on it... Let me know how it turns out!
  8. Well, I don't like to be on photos but here goes...
  9. Hi all, I am born and raised on a Cow/Diary farm, with some farmanimals on the side, raised up with hunting and fishing. I took the degree as a Cook and had been working as a cook for 8 years before getting a re-education (because of an injury) and took the degree as a Baker.I was working as a fulltime Baker up to last year when they closed down. Today I work as a full time machineoperator at a chocolate factory, being responsible for moulding milkchocolate... It pays relatively okay but it's one heck of a boring job... I really miss pastry, cooking and workin' in the kitchen! I am also one of those who would want to become so skilled that I could put the hobby up as an extra income or hopefully a part time job if not full time... And I'm looking for the recepy on a cake I tasted last time I was in the US, called "Oakey cake" or somthin' similar...??
  10. A quick question here guys; I was wondering about the super glue - won't the glue or the fumes of the glue colour the leather?... I am still a beginner and thought using superglue sounded a bit scary... is it a manufactured superglue espesally designed for leatheruses? Jonny
  11. Hi, I'm a newbeginner and have the pure basic stuff of tools, but I am looking for some carefully used tools... so if you have some lying around you don't use anymore I would like to hear from you and what you might have for sale. I am looking for everything from oblong punches, edge bevelers, prong punch, bevelers, stamping tools, swivel knifes, patterns, leather left overs, bucles, and what ever usefull you might have lying around. Send me a PM if it sounds interesting. Jonny
  12. Hi ya' all. First of - I am a newbeginner and are still fiddling around trying to get the hang off all the tooling and stuff before throwing myself at some projects I have been thinking of, but then I got an idea wich I want to share with you... I am the proud owner of a Berneese Mountain Dog or Berner Sennen (as we refer them to) and he is a big adult and we are often Cartpulling, going for long trips in the mountain side where he carrys his "saddlebags" made of kevlar and nylon designed for K9 uses. I would like to make a pair of "show off" saddlebags just for fun at shows, but I am a bit uncertain of the type of leather, thickness etc. Would 2-3 mm. do? I was thinking of a natural colored as it would be easyer to dye? Has any of you done it before and perhaps has some scetches about it? I have tons of questions about it but I and would like to hear your opinions. Jonny
  13. Hi y'all! As being new to the hobby I am not sure if this is the right place to place such a question, but here goes; As there are 2-3 rather big companies in Norway making one heck of a profit on us Leatherfanatics I have started to look over the Norwegian borders for new supplyers of my Leather and equipment needs... The problem being fraightprices and time...ordering from the US, Canada and the "left side of the Pond" is turning out to be nearly as expensive as ordering here and the delivery is slower (no offence) but do any of you have any good experince of ordering in Europe and if so, do you got any websites to refer to? Jonny
  14. Hi y'all! About the supply problem in Norway; there are two very big companys operating in Norway on the leatherfront supplying foremost the Horse interested people but also have huge supplies to crafters, furniturebuilders, fashion/clothes crafters with a variety of hides/leather, skins, fuhrs and so on... - but - knowing they are so to say alone on the marked for Norwegians, they take whatever price they want.... many has turned to both Denmark and Sweden for more resonable prices, but they are also getting stronger economy so... many buyes more and more through internet (but that will lead me into another qustion posted else where).
