Those interested in abstract patterns

Recommended Posts

I haven't been around much lately as I've just moved and didn't get my internet connection back until a few days ago (had to scrounge some time at work when the boss wasn't looking to look at all the cool stuff been posted recently). My leatherwork stuff is still packed up as I don't have anywhere to do it yet in the new place.

Old place had fully tiled floors so my husband didn't mind me using dyes and things but the new place is carpeted in the spare room so he said it will be off to the shed for me. Unfortunately though it's not built yet, hopefully it won't be too long but in the mean time I've been trying to get some patterns together and thought some others might be interested in this program I came across on another forum I visit. It's called alchemy and is available here http://al.chemy.org/download/ it's not designed to do finished artwork such as Painter or Photoshop but it's sure alot of fun to play if your into abstract stuff. I especially like the mirror function and with a bit of tweaking in Photoshop I think I've got my next leatherwork pattern for when the sheds finally built or when I can't take it any more and shift all the extra stuff out of the garage (thought I got rid of that when we moved).

I'm no way involved in the developing of alchemy I just thought it was a fun program to play around with and wanted to share it I've found it to be a great start in developing quick sketches.

Cheers,

Clair
