Beaver Design For A Belt

Hi!

An American Indian friend wants me to make her a belt for pow wow's she participates in. Her family animal is the beaver. I was wondering if you guys have any suggestions for where to get a beaver stamping tool (I found one on ebay but was outbid ). I found a rubber stamp of a beaver paw but I don't know how well acrylic would wear on a belt or if a stamp would even work. Thanks muchly for any advice.

How about if you just make the belt from beaver tail? I can't remember off hand who has it, but it is available (maybe Leather Unlimited?). You'd have to splice it and line it, but it would be cool.

Thanks for the idea. I should have added that she is paying me $30 to make the belt and I already have the belt blank and buckle

Get the beaver paw stamp. Stamp it on a piece of paper. Then trace the paw print on to tracing film. Then trace to you leather and cut with a swivel knife and tool it.
