  1. Do you recommend a nylon latigo or leather if your using the lock collar system?
  2. I've made quite a few spur straps but always single ply. I usually use a 9/10 ounce for mine. I'd like to try making a pair that are doubled and stitched but I'm not sure what weight of leather to use for the top or the latigo on the inside. Any advice would be nice.
  3. Hey thanks DC! nice job! I think that will help alot for what I'll be doing!
  4. Super nice! I've been in there once and Wes was a nice guy to talk to!
  5. I use a dremel tool and a tiny drill bit the size of the needle I'm going to stitch with. Also I like to use barges contact cement anytime I'm glueing leather, its the strongest bonding agent I've seen on the market.
  6. Hi everyone, I was wondering if anyone could give me any advice? I talked to a guy today who wants me to do a couple projects for him first he wants spur straps which is no big deal, he also wants leather covered stirrups that are inliad on the sides because he does bead work on leather and he wants to put some on the stirrups, also he wants an inlaid wallet for the same reason. I know how to build these things and how to cover stirrups but I've never done any inlaying. Again any advice would be of great help!! Thanks and Merry Christmas, Evan
