About Me

My Mom taught me how to work with leather when I was fairly young, and it has stuck with me. Later I taught the leather work merit badge for 4 years at a couple of BSA summer camps in CA.

I generally don't stick with a hobby full time. I will drift in, and out of the various hobbies I have. I am currently messing around with leather, and blacksmithing. A couple of years ago it was pottery. In the future it may be back to cars, guns, paper mache, photography, fishing, hunting, camping, hiking, or something totally new.

I am a tool maker for a screw machine company in S.Utah. The company mainly produces turned parts for some of the large electrical contact OEMs. I make, and modify tooling for the guys on the floor. In the past I had my own machine, and fab shop. After we closed up I worked in a foundry, hydraulics shop, and as a mechanic for the Jelly Belly Candy Co. before moving to S.Nevada. With my work history, and having the Mom & Dad that I did, I have learned many useful skills.

Hopefully in the near future I will be starting another business. It is very tough working for someone after you have been in business for yourself.
