  7. I have for sale a Artisan brand model 3200 leather sewing machine. This isnt your grannys machine it is a serious machine. It will run 1 inch thickness worth of leather without even straining. This machine new sells for around $2500 shipped. I am the second owner, the first lady only ran it about 5 hours because it wasnt the machine she needed to do the job she was doing. I have ran it about 60 or so hours and have stayed on top of the preventative maintenance such as oiling cleaning. Text only to 859two6five1318 Will not ship Location is Harrodsburg Ky 40330 Here is a link to the specs from Artisan http://www.artisansew.com/pdf/specs/TORO_3200.pdf

  9. Is the Consew still AVA
  10. Im looking to spend @ 500 US I think I have found a Consew 226 that just needs the motor and is in the price range Im looking for just don't know if I need that big of a machine
  11. I have a 1901 circa 29-4 that I use for sleeves and pockets looking to speed up my flat sewing
  12. I am starting to do more and more patch sewing onto leather vest and jackets. I originally started sewing my own on a singer 401a just because I got the machine for next to nothing and couldn't find anyone around me that did good work so I said what the hell I think I can do it. The 401 works ok but when you hit the seams it really struggles it the seam has much mass to it. I have been doing this for about 3 years now and am starting to pick up more and more business. I have been looking around trying to figure out what machine would best serve my needs to replace my 401a. I know the 401a isn't the machine of choice but like I said I made due at the time. I have been looking on Craigslist at some consews and jukis Im not sure if I need to go with a walking foot or not. My intentions are to try to find one that needs a motor and put a servo on it. Which Consew or Juki would you all recommend
  13. i got aiece of black granite @ 3ft x6ft ft at a local stone and granite counter top maker for $20. it was in their scrap plue. Just stopped in and ask them if they had any scrap. one note. the darker the grannite the harder it is. The makers have about any size you want
  14. I started using Bob Parks method and I am totally satisfied with the way my edge are now. It's alittle work but the out come is worth it
