The main difference in the two MSDS' is not the carrier but the "Oil" or Pro dyes use a solvent based colorant dye while the standard dyes use a metal pigment based colorant. The pigment colorant is obvious when dry as it rubs off while the solvent dye penetrates the leather better.

Definitely worth going for the pro dyes as recommended in the video.

Personally I buy all my leather drum dyed from Wickett and Craig.

So, I won't be putting a card pocket in the messenger bag as I planned.

I took it with me to a local restaurant/bar this evening, and someone wanted to buy it from me. I asked for, and received $150.00  :yeah::lol::rolleyes:

Other than a child's change purse I sold to my cousin's wife for $15 bucks, this is my first real sale!

I'll incorporate all the suggested improvements into my next bag... B)

Thank you! His friend asked me if I did wallets. This is a big incentive for me to GET BUSY and make up some business cards, as well as getting started on my next projects! :D

As far as wallets go, Nigel Armitage has a wallet template pack that is under $10 bucks and is worth every penny not only for the pack itself but for the inspiration.....I haven't made but one the way the packet prescribes because they are super easy to morph into other wallets. It is super utilitarian, I didn't expect that at all.

Yep, that is the pack I bought. It has really well written instructions as well as being able to back it up with the corresponding youtube video. Nigel has almost become Morgan Freeman to me; when I read through the packet, I hear Nigel's voice in my head.

 Too funny! His videos are excellent, and that is an excellent price for the pattern pack. Is it downloadable, or does he ship it to you?

It's downloadable. I think it took about 40 seconds or so after payment cleared.
