I live very close to the Texas Gulf Coast. There are sharks out there in them waters. Once caught, does anyone know how to go about properly tanning a sharkskin so it can be used to make a finished leather project?

I've been working with dead animals for over 24 years now, but have yet to have anyone tell me just how to tan a shark skin properly. I have access to the Gulf of Mexico where the sharks live, but don't know what to do with the skin once they jump in the boat. I'm open to any suggestions, so long as it doesn't include antifreeze.
