Look up the Shoemakers Academy. Wade has everything you need to get started and he is also a wealth of knowledge.

I sent you a PM.

135x16 or 135x17 are the only needles that will work correctly in a Sailrite.

Thanks for the comments. I am learning how to use a swivel knife on the fly. I have found out that my blade is cheap and dull. I have ordered a new blade and a die to cut the shield out. That will make them symmetrical. This is a fun and humbling project. I am realizing how hard tooling is and how bad I am at it! Hopefully I will figure it out soon and then I can start making real shields instead on having a pile of practice pieces.

Really? Do you think we all work hard just to give OUR stuff away for free so some lazy person can take credit for OUR blood, sweat, tears, and money spent? Unbelievable!

I have one that I am looking to get rid of. Message me and I will send you some pictures.

Thanks for the info.

Very nice work! Where did you get the thread? I have a customer who wants glow in dark thread and I can’t find anything bigger than Tex 40.

Where are you located?

Hats off to you Ferg. I wish more people would take this serious. I just finished 10 mask this morning bringing my total up to 60. I have given away every one I have made and I have not received any help buying material. Wearing a mask protects everyone from you as well as protecting you from everyone. I personally think it is selfish for people not wear one. It is the least they can do to help heal our country. Ferg I don’t think I will ever catch up to how many you have made and I would like to say THANK YOU for your hard work!

That is very sad news. If anyone needs a glove repaired, I do them. I have been doing glove repairs and relacing for about 7-8 years.

Sounds good to me. Hope to hear from you in a couple of months.

Nice work! I will be happy if the boots I am working on turn out looking half as good as yours!

Boicie,
I just bought a new embroidery machine to make patches . I would be willing to do the patches for you at a greatly reduced rate.
