  2. Hey can you help me out with that hair on leather behind your tooling? I've got a similar piece but am having trouble with where the piece bends. It causes the background to seperate from the tooled front. Any suggesstions?
  3. I'm not sure the site, but I saw a book of vintage scrolls. I think the best thing would be to take pictures and redraw them by isolating different pieces of the design to fit your needs.
  4. Making straps and slings are pretty easy. The only difference is how you attach the strap/sling to the item. For a guitar all I do is cut a strip 3" wide, then taper the ends down to 1 1/2" and cut the ends like a belt. If you look at any strap online you can see how they attach to the item.
  5. Hello, my name is Jason Reaves. I'm a firefighter in California who started making leather products for the fire service in 2008. Since then I've branched out to making anything that the customers want, ranging from gun holsters wallets and everything in between. You can see some of my work at www.ReavesLeather.com or see more up to date stuff on my Facebook page. http://www.facebook.com/pages/Reaves-Leather/129264176502 I know it's lame but everyone has a Facebook now a days and I get a lot more business off there and word of mouth than anywhere else. I am happy to hear any comments on my work, I've already learned a lot just from being on this site for a few months.
  6. I've been doing leatherwork for a few years now and I'm looking to get into saddle making. I'd like to be able to come to your shop and watch how it's done for some hands on experience. Any help would be appriciated.
  7. I make suspenders for firefighting. You can see them on my website. www.ReavesLeather.com
