  1. I may be interested if you will ship to Arkansas.
  2. I'm looking to purchase a leather sewing machine. Thing is I'm not sure what I actually need. I will be sewing knife sheaths. belt loop, inlay, and welt. So the first two are fairly thin, however sewing around the sheath could be over the 1/2" of the machines ive been eyeballing. So, would a machine with more clearance still sew the thinner stuff well? would two machines be ideal? Then there's price. The 1/2" machines (under 1500) are at my limit. What say you?
  3. I tried Tandy's double cap nickel plated. They aren't as strong as I'd like. Is there a stronger type or brand of double cap rivets? What about single cap? I'd prefer not to use chicago screws. Thanks.
  4. Hello, I had a few questions on how to do leather inlays. I looked at the tutorial on dc knives and noticed that he didn't to my knowledge add another layer or a liner to the inside of the sheath to prevent the knife from being pressed against the inlay. What I'm wondering is if that's normal? What if you were going to pad the inlay. Wouldn't you need a layer of some ridgid material to hold the padding up and push the inlay out? I've been reading around alot and I couldn't find another tutorial or an answer to this question. Thanks.
  5. I've tried eco flo and what I believe is fiebing spirit dye. It appears impossible to not get lines where you have to overlap the dye with the daubers. Is there a way to fix this? Also is the oil dyes any different in terms of how they dye and how are they better?
