  2. I wish I was ready to purchase. I want to add this machine to my shop one day.
  3. I had the same thought a few years back, so I gave it a try. This collar(left 2" wide) is only stitched at the buckle-end and the end where the holes are. Center of collar(hornback) is only glue. Not sure if it was Barge or Wellwood from HD. But it's still holding till this day. My dogs are strong! As of now so far, so good. Malik
  4. I have flat steel bars in different lengths/widths from Home Depot and cut with a rotary cutter.
  5. I have a Adler 867. Some of my collars up to 1/2" thick or so. This machine is incredible!
  6. Looks like it does what it should!! Congrats, and show us some straps when you done! Malik

  10. I just received some nice samples from RJF. Check link at top of page.
  11. I keep using them until they bend or break. If i'm stitching and the thread shreds, I will check needle for any nicks on point. If I feel anything, I rub it on sand paper till smooth and get back to sewing! Malik
  12. They will get better every time! I would make the stitch line for zipper closer to edge. Also try to skive edges where you are sewing pieces together. Mom will love it anyway! Good job...keep it going Malik

  14. Here's the 1st collar I attempted to sew. I remember how discouraged I was. Thinking it was going to be impossible to ever produce nice collars. But every mistake is a lesson. My stitch length was cutting strap it was so close. Letters look horrific. Foam I used was too thick. I could go on and on, but I don't like laughing at myself. Post your 1st project and a current item that shows with practice and passion you can always improve to better outcomes. Malik
