  1. So I get a message from my buddy in Austin... He wants a Graffiti Telecaster Pickguard... Ok and he wants R= Roy Buchanan S=Steve Cropper T=Ted Greene (if you don't know any of these guys, hit youtube! So I think on it for 2 weeks and have this crazy idea that I really didn't think I could pull off... I mean I have never seen ANYTHING like it before.. So I send my partner Mike Smith a email explaining this crazy idea... He says you are crazy LETS DO IT!!! So here we are today:) mike carved the Sheridan and mailed it 4000 miles so I could make it look like a bunch of wild hood rats hate telecaster guitars:) hahahahaha well now where do I take my crazy ideas from here??? That was insane!!! Hahahaha please Forgive me Al Stohlman!!!

  2. I like the sliding keeper with initials.

I just made a 3" round part of the extension strap with the buckle...I think it is pretty sharp myself:) Thanks Paul! But Now that you mention it; it made me now think it could be a separate piece, but it works very well this way.

  3. Loving the guitar. Is the leather glued into place before the lacing?

Yes I used a high grade contact cement...and let me tell ya it was very tricky!!!! I had to take it off 1 time and I used very worried that it would stretch the leather!Next time I will glue it down in sections after I have lined it up perfect....it was very stressful!

  4. Hi Chancey..great work on the seat.!! I love the design.. Just wondering how you created the outline of the figure..did you use a resist or something?

    Regards

    Phil

I just used my rectangle backgrounder M885 I cleared it but eventually it will get darker. So the bleed over of my dye process in he coat tails isn't a huge deal. The weather and sun will darken it over time naturally.
