Thanks for reply. I have been reading mixed reviews of using the bridal and veg tanned.

Would you still recommend double layered just lighter layers? Also is the bridal outer and veg tan liner a good combo?

I am wanting to make a couple of belts for Christmas gifts and was wondering what people thought of the following construction methods. I am planning to use 8-9oz bridal leather with a 4-5oz veg tanned liner stitched all the way around at 6 stitches per inch. Will this be too thick, thick enough, and is the leather selection correct for a semi dress casual belt? Thanks

Thanks for sharing. I have been wanting to try a holster for a fullsize and this may motivate me to get started.

Any word on when Jim's templates may be posted. They sound interesting and as I am preparing for my first cartridge belt I can use all the additional input and help I can get. Thanks!
