I was reading over some of your comments, very interesting. One I read you discussed lips and not cutting them. Would this also apply to teeth. I do some skulls and in the smaller sizes cutting just doesn’t seem to work. Thanks for your help.

I usually cut teeth, but only very lightly. You can do them without cuts, but they can moosh around a little depending on your leather.

Well, I can't help with the first, but if I could, I could quit working and retire on my personal island! GIMP design is a great idea, and I'll look into that. As for carving in general, there are many video classes already available on that on my site. Check them out.

anyone have any idea why my groover keeps blocking up. i am using it one veg tanned leather and the way i was shown. but everytime i ue it after three or four passes it clogs up and i have a heck of a time getting the barrel cleared so i can use it again. its really getting old.
