Are there alternate adjustment without bobin case opener. ?

i have 2 Singer 531b-8bl machines , one is older than the other and doesn't have the bobbin case opener parts on it . Did some of these machines not have that or am i missing parts?

I am trying to mount a flip down sewing guide to this machine, and need to find 2 screws to mount it not having any luck locally i need flat head countersunk screws with .500 thread length . pitch is 32 od on thread is .216 any chance anyone can help me find these screws ?

I recently picked up a Singer 531b-8bl and cant find any info on this machine. Anyone know anything about this machine when they were made ect .

belts will prob be 3/16 thick will also be sewing canvas , webbing

looking at 2 sewing machines one is a juki lu563 without reverse for 500.00 other is a pfaff 145-h3-6/1c lmnp for 450.00 i am looking to sew up to gun belt leather what are your thoughts on these machines ? joe
