nonono, I'm not changing machines, my 1245 is a monster! great for making bag! Going to get second sewing machine --- cylinder, use it at same time, if you make bag then you will know it helps a lot!!

Hi! guys!
I'm looking for another sewing machine which can do better job to sew corner of leather bag, my 1st one is a pfaff 1245, works great, but hard to sew bag corners. I just saw a Mitsubishi PN-840 and seems not much imformachine about this machine, is anyone knows or have this machine? What is biggest size of thread and needle for it, if up to 138 thread or 207 thread then I will get it.
Also, what need and bobbin this machine use .... really can't find anything about it online ...

Needle system 135x17 is for Heavy, canvas and vinyl,

Needle system 135x16 NW and 135x16 TRI work as same as 135x17 needle, but also is good for leather.....

Wiz, Wiz!! I just called the guy who sold me pfaff, he said is 135-17!!! you are right!
I looked here:

it has different 135-17, dpx and dp, and Organ 135x17 Walking Foot Sewing Needle. which kind should I get? or they all work for my pfaff? which's difference of dpx and dp?

small needle, many difference!!!
I only have two Organ needles works now, one is # 20, another one is # 22.
# 22 is 1 3/4'' long, ROUND point.
# 20 is shorter liitle bit but almost same length, is a V point.

i just took a close look ( words is super small ), # 22 is organ, # 22 and # 24 are SCHMETZ.
Organ is exactly 1 3/4'' long.
SCHMETZ is short little bit, maybe just 1mm different.

Hi Guys!
I just bought needle for my pfaff 1245, but they all can't use. ones I got are 190 LR ( leather point I think ), I got 20# and 18#, doesn't work, stich skips, I attached photos here, please take a look.
I also got another one which is 190 R, thought maybe it can use for thick fabric like canvas, but it doesn't work too, stich skips, can't sew at all
I compared the one that I got from seller ( the guy who sold me this machine ), he gave me few, works great! these needles are shorter than 190LR and 190 R.
I measured : 190 R and LR length is 1.7 inch.
my old one ( that guy gave to me, is Organ needle too ) is 1.55 inch.
So I'm wondering what needle is that? anyone knows and can help me? ( I also will ask 190LR needle ebay seller tomorrow, m, but that's what pfaff 1245 manual says and few people on this forum told me 190 LR or R is right needle )

have been looking for right needle for my pfaff 1245, small size ones 16# 18# 20#. called few stores, they have differnt recommandation:
1." Organ needle 190LR MTX190 ( just checked, Cowboy told me this one has zig-zag - Thank you again! Cowboy
my question is that i can use this needle on my machine? cause zig-zag looks cool somehow on leather ) "2. or " 190R "
3." 134-35LR "
4. and even have one I never heard before " 135x17 ". if I remember, one store owner said " 135 x17 " needle is shorter.
I'm so confusing, which one should I get? ( right now I think I have 22# 24# - D point )
also, my pfaff is 1245 706/47, not 1245 706/06 or 706/08, they all 1245, they use same needle, right?
got lots to learn, but I really love leatherworking/leatherworker! :D

ah! just checked needles that I have from the person who sold me machine, they are all D piont needles. you have all sizes? I want to get size 16, 18, 20.

I use pfaff 1245 machine, trying to get needles now. I saw two kinds of needle, one is Organ 190LR leather point, another one
is Organ 190R. both for pfaff 1245, which one should I get? what's different between them? guys

Thank you! Tnawrot2. I have first one now, it has teeth at bottom of foot, is pfaff 1245 has same kind but no teeth? or should I use tool to make bottom flat? so far I have not sew thick leather yet, will this walk foot leave teeth mark on thick leather?

when I bought my pfaff, seller told me that better to get another walking foot set without teeth cause might see teeth on leather. therefore I'm looking for the right walking foot set. this one is what I have now ( first image ).
I searched online, found out there are few or more than few different walking foot sets! I'm confused which one should I get? I'm only sure that to get one at least without teeth.
I attached two other walking foot sets here, they have different sizes! I never know that walking foot sets have different size!
