  2. I am just starting to work with snakeskin an when I buy skins, I apply snakeskin conditioner on the skins an I was wondering if I can store the skins in ziplock plastic bags without them growing mold or rotting over time. What is the best way to store snakskin an retain a pliable skin

    collar spikes

    I bought some dog collar spikes years ago an I dont remember where I bought them. They are screw back 1 1/4" spikes. Can anyone tell me where I can get them ?

  11. The other I was making leashes an though I would like to make a long one, so I made a 15' leash with a brass snap on the end . I posted it on my facebook page and a dog trainer is interested in it but this is my first time making that long of a leash and have no Idea what I should price it at. Here are a few pic's, tell me what you would charge. The leash is made from 9/11 oz latigo, 15' long and one inch width.

  13. I just figured out how to do piping without a piping foot. I wish I had a camera to show you but, I just used my right single foot on my machine (CowBoy 4500) an it turned out great. The way I did it, there is no visible stitching. I went to store an looked at factory piping on bags and my way looks just as good. Very happy with the outcome.

    I am making some leather chopper mittens out of Moose , an I would like to know, what is the warmest fur pelt to line them with ? My hands get cold easy.

In my opinion the strongest zipper is ykk nylon coil, for your application I would use a #5, the trick to any zipper is to keep your stitches close, what I mean don't stitch 3 stiches per in, go with 5 to 6 per inch an back off on the tention,if using steel tooth zipper make sure the zipper teeth are facing the same direction when putting on the zipper pull ( the teeth should be facing you as you put on the zipper pull. with nylon coil it don't matter
  18. You know the best way to learn this is go to u tube an type in how to install single coil nylon zipper tape. You only need to use one side of the zipper
  19. Take an measure from the top center top the bottom center using a seamstress tape, add 3" an that is the length zipper you will need. Take the zipper an open, run one down one side and the other on the other side. run the ends up the center.. Now stitch the zipper in place.
