I've seen this on some holsters and things that people make. The edges fade from dark color in to the center in to a lighter color. Savoy leather does this on some of their holsters. I looked on YouTube and Tandy has video called block dyeing and it doesn't tell much or help any! Please help!

I make fire helmet shields and various leather products for the fire service and was wondering how they make fire helmet shields with gold leaf and silver leaf on them? Thanks
