  1. Thank you!! Love this idea, going to give it a try this week! Tandy's trip monday after ponies get shod!!
  2. If I used shoeing nails, i need to figure out how to make it so he wont scratch his table. any ideas?
  3. I have a friend that wants me to make coasters from horseshoes. I need to figure out how to get the leather to stick to the shoe... any ideas?
  4. Thank you! We found that one, but its not quite any of the sizes i would like in turn, I did a little research and learned that (with a LOT of practice) you can use stamps made for metal on the leather. I found a lot more horseshoes for metal, so we picked out my most needed size and ordered it a few minutes ago. I am really hoping it works!!
  5. I am searching for some horseshoe stamps ranging from about a half inch to around 1.5 inch if anyone knows where I could find some, that would be amazing! Could not find any at tandy's And for those that dont know, I am extremely new to leather work, so I really dont even know if they exist
  6. Hey everyone! Im jonnie, from california in the USA! I recently got into leather work because I loving having things im proud of, and im not much proud of the things I buy. I prefer things I make, or fix. I ride horses and decided one day I wanted to make a saddle, since leather work is a difficult hobby to learn (supposedly, but ive been doing good so far!) I started on small things. So far I have made some spur straps with an inlay, a knife sheath, a bronc band and a few other small things, but I want to get better and learn LOTS more so i can one day make that saddle I want so badly! Has anyone here had saddle making experience?
