Awesome work!! And placing the "D" ring near the buckle keeps it, the buckle, out of the dogs throat and places the widest portion of the collar there.

Really nice work. But this design, with the D ring in the middle of the collar, is not the best for the dog. It places the buckle in the dogs throat when the dog is on a leash, not to mention it negates the purpose of all that nice padding you added.
