  1. My last order was in June before the shutdown.
  2. I just checked and it is running 8.5-9 closer to the 9oz mark. I should have a single shoulder floating around the shop somewhere I'll look for it in the morning.
  3. I have a back of standard w/c black drum dyed I can cut a chunk off of. It is supposedly 8 oz but I will have to check and see if it is over or under on the weight. No price gouging from me that ain't my style. I'll let you know what I find out.
  4. 3-4 ounce horse is what I use for all my wallets.
  5. Speaking of W/C, at this point I wish they would send my leather out. I've been waiting 3 weeks on 3 backs lol. Serves me right for waiting too long to order leather.
  6. The shipping price on my last order felt a bit steep. I bought 70 sf of horse, 2 pounds elephant, 2 pounds shark, and 5 pounds ostrich scrap. The shipping was 72 dollars. I like their leather and their service is excellent, but that shipping rate hurts my feelings.
  7. http://www.brownells.com/shooting-accessories/slings-sling-swivels/sling-loop-sets/competitor-plus-sling-hooks-prod25735.aspx these are really nice sling hooks
  8. I'm starting to get set up for production work now. I picked up this beauty today.
  9. I just ran a sample quote on yrc freight and from my door zip 24251 to Ogden UT. It ran from 360 to 495 depending on options.
  10. If anyone is interested make me an offer.
  11. I think I am going to go with a vfd. The electric motor on the clicker is a 1 hp 3.2 amps at 220 3 phase. From what I can find The 120 single phase to 220 3 phase vfd rated at 4.0 amps will handle the motor at full load and have some margin for safety. Here is the one I am looking at WEG VFD . According to what I have read this vfd does not need to be de-rated as long as the operating temp is below 122 degrees.
  12. I personally would pass for 1200. For a couple hundred more you can get a brand new one. 600-800 max is what I would pay.
  13. Thank you, that is the direction I am leaning.
  14. So I took the leap and bought a clicker press, and now I am weighing my options as to how to hook it up. From what I can tell I have three options rotary converter, static converter, and VFD. I am leaning toward the VFD because it will be the only piece of machinery requiring a phase converter in the foresee able future. I thought I would pose the question here and see what you all do.
  15. The throat is 9 1/2 inches. The way it sits it sews just under 3/4". I took some pictures I will post them tonight. It comes with four bobbins and a manual.

    Veg Splits

Are y'all still interested in a group order of splits? You can count me in for 10 sides of the 3/5.
  17. Oh and their elephant scrap is really nice as well.
  18. I like their horse fronts. Haven't ordered anything else so can't speak to that.
  19. Thanks everyone. I thought about using the a zoom dummies to make the molds for a couple of nitro express calibers I had passed on previously. Buying one for 8.99 and making a half dozen more I think would be more cost effective than buying 5 to make a rifle butt cuff. I guess I'll order one and break out the old micrometer and find out.
