    When I do hat band, I cut leather with a arc, not to much. Does fit better. I learned the hard way, hope this was of some help

      Thanks, that makes sense...do you attach them?

      I've gone back and forth with attaching them and just letting them slip on/off. I don't know if there's a right/wrong approach to that or not.
