  1. Very nicely done! Hand-stitched or machine? Either way, nice clean stitch lines. I personally like the colors, and the contrast.
  2. I recently made this rawhide sheath for an antler-handled knife I own. Underneath is 8-9oz veg tanned leather, and it's wrapped with cow rawhide. I applied leather dye to the rawhide, and finished it with a light coat of polyurethane. This was a first for me, and I'm pleased with the result.
  3. Those are really nice. Can you tell me why you (and others) take the thread outside the seam (at the ends of the stitch rows)? It seems to me that these would quickly become worn and weakened over time. I've seen it a lot, and I'm wondering why it's done this way.
  4. Well, that would be simpler than splitting the gusset...thanks for the suggestion and example.
  5. Hmm, I hadn't thought about splitting the gusset, but now I'm thinking about using an inside seam along the center of the gusset, to which I can attach the divider. We'll see how it goes...
  6. I have been asked to make a bag with a gusset like the one in this photo, which has an internal divider. I'm looking for suggestions for securing the divider...
  7. These are a few possibles/shooting bags I've made. I cut, punch, and sew (saddle-stitch) them all by hand. My personal black powder shooting bag This image won't embed for some reason A bag I made for someone else Another bag for a friend
