  1. Greetings everyone, I am having an issue with setting the post/stud on some glove snaps. I purchased a bag of glove snaps from Tandy, and only get about a 20% success rate with setting the post/stud. I am only using about 3oz leather, but it seems like the leather might be too thick for the stud to come down far enough on the post for the post to deform inside, locking it in place. As anyone else had this issue? I am tapping the stud setter about 20-30 times and not slamming the mallet as I know the post can deform and bend. I looked at this video from Tandy, and I am following exactly, but the only difference is that my leather is thicker than the one in the video: thoughts? Thank you, Morgan.
