  1. Hi Brian , Yes I got some a couple years ago when I first got my machine ,but thank you for the heads up I might get a couple more packs just to be safe
  2. I am lucky enough to also have one of these machines they make a beautiful stitch when working
  3. I had this problem and its easy to do Make sure you arent unintensionally pressing your knee against the lifter as it will do just that if the slightest touch there.I know cause I did .otherwise like others said tension check till right
  4. Hi there under all that motorised framework should be a bronze coloured tag with what model it is e.g 29 - 4 or 29k ?? I have 2 x 29k58 and a 29 k 71 and most parts are interchangeable from what I have noticed ,but if you fix one part generally other parts attached will also need replacing e.g I replaced needle bar and had to also get new piston joint and feet to fit new needle bar as they are just slightly fatter or differt attachment threads (pistion joint ).Awesome wee machines they are though I would take motor away ,they tend to wear out quicker .
  5. I have 4 of these which 3 are restored and parts I got were out of UK https://www.sew-europe.co.uk/ found them easy to deal with unless something serious is broken most parts are avaiable. The 3 I have restored all had tension issues which when I pulled the head apart the needle bar tension spring had broken a real easy fix.

  15. Hi Glenn, Most of the parts are the same as for the 29K singers but they have changed a few . The company in UK is Sew Europe - http://sew-europe.com/ Not much point in getting from the company here as he gets his from overseas anyway. I have found hin hopeless as he has no idea what parts he has sent .I had made an order last year in August.... still waiting lol The sew Europe team has been awesome parts arrive within 10 days and were all the correct ones. Good luck
  16. I have managed to find some parts for the newer machines here in NZ but have since found a company in the UK that has parts . I wish I could leave the machines alone lol but they are so much fun to get going again .I enjoy a challenge

  19. Welcome to you from a newbie to the board but been playin with leather for a few years now . This site is awesome with plenty of people that can help, one only needs to ask. I am new to site and forums but enjoy seeing what others make
  20. "They New Zealand" - nope air is fine to cycle in here But I think the bigger problem world over is everyone thinks govements should supprt them .We have a mentality here where the younger people dont want to work ,especially when the govt hands out money left right and center. We have heaps of jobs this time of year in orchards and on farms and we are importing workers to do the work ???? Lazy youngsters these days ( not all but alot)
  21. Leffler leather merchants may be able to help .they are in Aussie. Ask for a Russell Devine I had spoken with him about needles for another machine which I was unable to get needles for here in NZ
