  1. About to get a well-maintained, working condition Singer 111w100 machine head! I was hoping to get some advice on how to get it up and going (needle size, thread size, etc.), as I haven't done a project like this before. I was looking at this particular servo motor: https://www.leathermachineco.com/product/brushless-digital-d-c-servo-motor/ but am open to recommendations! Any advice and help would be greatly appreciated.
  2. Looking for recommendations for a servo motor and a sturdy sewing machine table for a singer 111w100! Thought I would look here first and see if anyone could point me in a good direction/supplier! Thanks in advance.
  3. Thank you for the informative reply and the link to the manual. That's really good to know about the belt too, because apparently it needs replacing on the machine and I didn't think much of it, just figured it wouldn't be too difficult to replace. Thanks again, this was really helpful! Now I know in what direction to steer towards.
  4. Is singer 111w101 a walking foot machine? Been trying to do some research, also searched this site to make sure hopefully I'm not asking an already asked question! Would it be solid enough to work with chap leather, maybe two layers of 6-7 oz? Also, what is the max capabilities of a machine like this? I also don't know much about motors yet, so any thoughts on that would be greatly appreciated as well. Is this a pretty decent find for my intentions? Or could this possibly be a bit over my head, as I'm really new to the sewing machine scene. I'd love some thoughts! I've also been checking out Juki Lu 563s and Consew 206rb, but for whatever reason I keep coming back to any 111ws. Thanks in advance for any advice!
  5. Thank you for the reply! I'll be sure to get a hold of you in October then. Thanks again!
  6. Thank you for identifying the machine for me. And for taking the time to reply, greatly appreciated! Would something like this sew 5-8 oz chap leather? I've also come across a Singer 31-15.
  7. Hello! New to the site. Learned a lot already from reading through tons of great posts. Such an awesome information resource. I have come across this Singer sewing machine on craigslist (eek I know, craigslist). The lady doesn't know what it is, but provided a model number and motor number and is guessing it is from the 1940s. Model Number: AG267244. The motor is 5912994. If someone could help identify it, I'd be very appreciative. Thank you in advance for your time.
  8. Is the singer 111w155 still available? If so, do you have pictures and/or video of it? Thanks in advance!
