  1. I've decided to take the plunge and buy a large section and a strip cutter. I'm paying a premium for these smaller cuts and I am limited at what I can do.
  2. Thanks all for the replies. I will check them out and see what will work best for me.
  3. Planning on tooling and dyeing. I have punches and a rivet setter.
  4. I've just started to get into this and I would like to make a belt, dog collar, and dog leash. Can someone recommend for me a type of leather that would be best suited for these projects? As of now, I do not have the space to cut my own strips so I would be looking for something precut. Thanks in advance. SD
  5. Complete novice from Ft Wayne. I have enjoyed looking around this site and posted a few of my first projects. I have a few finished projects and a bunch more lined up for the summer. Looking forward to learning about working with leather.
  6. Thanks. I am not very crafty and I am definitely learning through my mistakes. I was using a 2 prong chisle and eyeballed the lines on these projects. I now have a groover, spacer, and an awl.
  7. Just started working with leather. Started with a few easy kits, a journal and wallet, but have since started making some stuff from scratch. I have made a pipe bag and some book marks. I am in the middle of wet molding a shotgun shell pouch and some game straps.
