New here, looking to learn some leather braiding. I collect vintage saddles and tack. Almost all I collect need something repaired or replaced. I hope to be able to learn some new techniques here. I'm looking for info on this old Visalia saddle. The maker marks stamped on the rear of the seat, my question is the "Y 5" that's tooled above the makers mark has me wondering if this could have been custom made or standard. The saddle is in bad shape, even has mold. Still for me a nice piece to add to my collection. Thank you
