  1. Hi !!You have a real good choice of brass hardware suppliers located the United States. In France only one has survived .They have a Web site . They made buckles for harness only ,but they have very nice "nikel over brass "or bronze buckles.http://www.poursin-paris.fr/ Bye

If not , Goat skin ,in spools about 90 Ft long ,cutted With a very régular with & thickness, ready to braid, was available in many stores few years ago .( Lace is cut with a circle pattern) But I d'ont now if such item are still available today . But , i d'ont now if goat skin is suited for your project ( Strong enought an many other spécification) ... ?

  6. Hi !! I send you pictures from the Working brief case i use every days. I have made it one year ago. It is all sewn by hand. The leather and Hardware came from Italy. Gusset is made whith 6 pieces of leather, Gusset made in this Way, is called in France : " Italian joint" .How did you name it "internationaly" ? Close up détailing from gusset : What did you say abaout this work ? look's he good to you ? Bye

  8. Hello In the Book " Saddles ", the autor, Russel H Beatie, call from a maker ,called Leddy but différent as M.L. Leddy company .based in Texas. He call on Frank & Silas Leddy, in the 40' ,they have a company named "Leddy brother" and tey lived in Fort Worth. An other company is listed as "M.L Leddy Boot Shop" based at Brady , but they moving to San Angelo in 1922

You have display a very huge amont of information about leatherwork, he will takes several month to me, to read all !! I am very happy to meat you on this forum ,Western Saddle maker are very unusual in France, it is only 3 in businnes today. I live in Auvergne near "Chavaniac La Fayette" Who "LaFayette "was born and some on is family still live today.
