      Hi Gregg,

      I finally ordered the Koban bobbin case and another part for my Consew 206RB. I wanted the Koban case and paid the $42.40. The package came in today and it was the generic case, not the Koban. Disappointed. I attached photos.

      Thanks Gregg, In your opinion, is the Koban worth the extra money? I don't mind spending a little more if there is a better function or longevity, but don't want to spend money where it not necessary. Thanks!

      I have been busy keeping all the plates spinning on their sticks. The clicker is very close. We got it all cleaned up, resurfaced the cutting board and I have a new 1/2" aluminum plate to go under the beam. I just need to rewire the motor control switch and plug it in. I have some cordura projects coming and it will be great to have it working. Cutting material is a real pain on production work. I'll post an update with photos when I get it finished. Hopefully before January. I have to get a table set up for the 'new old stock' Juki 563 I found. That machine is a real gem. No time to get bored. Always something to do. I hope you are doing well.

    Hey that post on the overlock serger rally something I interested investing into , I do a LOT of tape seam binding .

    I really looking for a ' alternative ' to ( inside seam bind ) of my articles . what can that Juki model you got do with the heavy den.cordura's ? .

    could it sew ( 2-layers of 1-k den. ) with ( 2-layers of 200 den. lining ) ?

    Does it do a nice clean trim look for Serge edge ? / is it double needle ?

      A side note, there is a nice looking Pfaff 1245 near Seattle on craigslist for $650. I'd buy it but it is too far away.

      See if you can try your product on a running machine. I sew with 69 thread too. I think 46 is the heaviest you want to use on a serger like this. If you are ever in Grants Pass you are welcome to experiment on my machine.

      Yes, my son Johnny Noveske created Noveske Rifleworks. He actually started it in my 100 year old detached garage. It was always his business 100%. Tragically he was killed in an auto accident in 2013. The business is now run by his wife and his children are working there learning the business in his footsteps. I offer guidance whenever it is needed but they are doing a fantastic job on there own.

      Ray,

      I think it will go through 4 layers of 1000D like it wasn't there. It does make a nice edge. I need to spend some time and experiment to see if I can finish the end of the stitch better. Right now I just run it off and trim. I suppose it could try to unravel. Maybe do a little tack with a lockstitch machine at the ends. The T-46 bonded nylon makes a very nice finished edge.
