So far I have only begun the chainmail it's taken a lot more time and amount of copper than I had realized but it's coming along pretty good. The leather I haven't even begun yet due to the Mail. Needed it first so I can get the fitting right for the patterns I still have to make.

Hello all I am new to leather work and also to this forum. I recently got a hair brain idea about a costume and made a chainmail shirt in copper 3/8 rings 12awg copper. I am building a half chest harness and shoulder guards they are veg tanned and I plan on tooling it. I haven't bought the dye or top finish yet and was looking for suggestions as to the color I should use in order to match the copper. Black isn't my thing. So besides that I was thinking maybe a red of some sort. Thank you all and sorry if it's posted wrong.
