  1. I'm shopping around atm... seeking recommendations for places to buy a full alphabet font set for use in my kwikprint machine. It's fairly significant investment and want to do my due diligence. Appreciate recommendations from suppliers based in Australia or overseas. Cheers, George
  2. I'm about to finalise an alphabet stamp set order with Hex n Hit stamps and want to make sure they are suitable for use with my Kwikprint machine (I have a model #55). Having a little difficulty getting clarification from the stamp maker, probably due to language barrier. If anyone knows or has used these stamps, will be much appreciated if you can comment. Cheers,
  3. Looking for a full font set for my Kwikprint machine. Ideally 24pt in York or News Gothic. CAPS preferred but also interested in LC. Cheers,
  4. Hi, ANY HELP WILL BE APPRECIATED. I have purchased a Kwikprint Model #55 and have come across a very reasonably priced Kingsley type/font set. Does anyone know if Kingsley type fits the Kwikprint. Can't seem to find anything specific about this through my research. Cheers,
  5. I've actually just jumped on your website. Love your creations. Do you work with crocodile leather only? I'm looking for a local designer to create some custom designs for our launch collection. If not, can you recommend any ateliers or workshop designers that can create in semi-volume qualities? Cheers,
  6. Thanks mate. Appreciate your help, Cheers,
  7. Can I get your advice about this Signet / Howard machine I've also been following on ebay https://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Atlas-Match-Book-Imprinter-Hot-Stamp-Franklin-Signet-Embosser-RARE/142774316582?_trkparms=aid%3D111001%26algo%3DREC.SEED%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D51376%26meid%3Da8d01fc87c1546a1b96aff8240aa7693%26pid%3D100675%26rk%3D5%26rkt%3D15%26sd%3D173132396868%26itm%3D142774316582&_trksid=p2481888.c100675.m4236&_trkparms=pageci%3A27c459b6-51e5-11e8-971d-74dbd1807d1c|parentrq%3A3a3df52e1630ab6bcfe706e5fffdd1c3|iid%3A1 It comes with type which is great
  8. This review must be of interest to you from Ian Atkinson re: type sets https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DK6W_loTWJE
  9. Thanks Brian @RockyAussie That's very helpful. It's been hard for me to get a clear understanding about the pressure element. Do you happen to know anyone in Adelaide that I could get some professional training from? Unfortunately with a 6month old and 3 year old, I won't be traveling anytime soon Cheers,
  10. Thanks Brian @RockyAussie Funnily enough, I've been watching that Kingsley on ebay. Do you think an old machine like that will have enough pressure to get deep enough into the leather. I think these machines were only made for gold foiling, until the pneumatic ones come into production?? Very good point about the letters. I'm usually fairly logical, but I didn't consider that. The second link you included is a duplicate of the Kingsley on ebay. Are you able to send the one you were referring to.... Match that with this to get any letter holder you could want... Cheers, George
  11. Thanks @RockyAussie I was looking at some Brass ones Etsy - for example https://www.etsy.com/au/listing/275515814/interchangeable-alphabet-letter-stamps?ref=unav_listing-other-8 This is all new to me though so will be good to get your opinion. Cheers,
  12. Thanks @RockyAussie. I'll have a look at H Leffler. I looked into laser, however, it's not the effect I'm looking for. I don't have letter sets already, however, I've identified some suppliers that can create letters in a certain font for a reasonable price. And from my research, most machines are compatible with letters, even if the type holder needs some minor customising. Appreciate your help. Cheers,
  13. In the market for a good condition used Kingsley or Kwikprint hot foil stamping machine. Open to different models. Feel free to comment if you or someone you know is looking to sell. Cheers I'm based in Australia, but willing to pay shipping cost for a quality machine as they are very hard to come by locally. Budget is flexible, but around $500
  14. Hi, I've come across a rare hot stamping machine. From my research it seems that Howard private labeled this Signet out of Canada. Wondering if anyone has used this machine and can tell me how well it embosses (blind) without foil? Cheers,
  15. Thanks @RockyAussie The purpose of the machine is fairly basic. I'm looking to blind emboss leather dummy straps (example attached) with the name of baby or initials etc. The thickness of this leather is about 1.8-2.0mm. The leather is veg tan, however, not natural, it will be sealed and dyed... that's why I think a heated machine is best to leave a quality impression. On a seperate note, there's a fantastic video here Any advice you can give would be great. Cheers,
  16. Thanks @RockyAussie Are you looking to sell any of your machines? I'm in Adelaide Cheers
  17. Hi, Hoping someone can tell me what Model Kingsley this is? I think it's an M-50 but not 100% sure. Thx
  18. @steadybrook thanks. Can you send me some pics? What kind of condition is it in? Cheers
  19. In the market for a good condition used Kingsley or Kwikprint hot foil stamping machine. Open to different models. Feel free to comment if you or someone you know is looking to sell. Cheers
  20. Thanks very much. If I could find a Kwikprint for $300 I'll be laughing.
  21. Hi, I'm new to this forum & looking for advice / recommendations re: machines to blind emboss leather products. I'm launching an online business specializing in personalized leather items for baby & children. I won't be using foil as it's unsafe for baby chewing etc. One of the products in our collection is a leather pacifier/dummy strap which i want to personalize with a blind embossing of baby's name or initials. The leather I'll be using is sourced from Germany. Veg tanned and naturally coloured with subtle textures. From all of my research it seems the best impression results will come from hot press rather than cold (esp. considering the leather I'm using) Budget is around $500 - $850 max. Kwikprint is too expensive. Used Kingsley, Howard machines maybe? Any others? I know a lot about leather but the hot stamping / embossing is new to me. Will be great to get some advice from experts. Cheers, George
