Here's a pancake holster I just finished. Used a 'Gator Embossed' Veg Tan leather from Tandy.
It's pretty heavy, probably 7-8 oz.?
The lighter colored holster is basically a FAIL (unless I can find a pistol to fit it). I lined the
leather with a 3 oz. pigskin, which made the molding very difficult and took up enough inside space that
it turned out too small for the pistol I wanted to use it with. After the photo, I removed the dyed grooves
and just burnished them. Looks a lot better, but still doesn't fit any pistol I have.
