Gum Tragacanth is what I use on all my collars as well I find the finish is great for these items.

This is my first project for a client. She works down at our local pet store and has 3 dogs. So this is the first of 4 collars she has ordered. I'm super excited because this is my first paying customer.

Has anyone had any experience using a product called SNO-SEAL waterproofing wax? Now I know that it is a waterproof for boots but I was thinking about trying it on my dog collars as a finish. I have used it on my work boots and hiking boots for years and love the finish.

Hey guy's just wondering, after I'm done skiving down a piece of leather to the thickness I was looking for, how do I get it smooth again? I have seen a few threads on burnishing edges. Would it be the same for the rough side of my project

So someone in the family was bothering me to make a collar for her, so I did. She didn't pay well but I think the look on her face says it all...
However, the "brains" of the operation (my GF) is less than estatic about the finished product and is hesitant to post pics of it on the new website, so she has asked that everyone is brutally honest... we promise no ones feelings will be hurt. She feels as though the idea was better in her head than executed... She has a bad habit of this
