  1. I actually use the phrase "please advise" in my daily life... lol
  2. This looks great! I never thought of making accessories for firearms... I may have to do something sorta similar for my shotgun! Thanks for the idea and keep on turning out this stunning work!
  3. Amazing work! I aspire to armor at some point and this is a darn good reason why.
  4. Took about 30-40 minutes, I think.
  5. Thanks! YouTube has helped me a lot, I think.
  6. After familiarizing myself with my swivel knife and figuring out that my leather needs to be pretty darn wet for carving, I decided to try my hand at something more than just cutting lines in scrap. I think it's not bad for a first attempt. What do y'all think?
  7. Thanks for the warning! I'll keep this in mind.
  8. Brand-spankin'-new leather worker perched out in east-central nowhere Missouri. I recently acquired a cheap set of what are likely subpar leather working tools from Amazon (I had a gift card, dangit) and am going to start learning something (practically) just as soon as I lay hands on some usable leather. I feel like I've picked up a fair amount of theory reading posts here and watching YouTube videos. Don Gonzales is the YouTuber that comes immediately to mind. My intent is to acquire some scrap and start practicing with stitching and tooling a bit before I start picking projects and making stuff to learn how it works in the real world. I am always interested in suggestions and/or advice from those with more experience. Thanks for letting me join your apparently amiable group. I look forward to sharing this journey with all of you.
