  1. Hello everyone, I make wallets (all hand cut and stitched) using Horween 3.5 oz leather and would like to line the pocket where you store your dollar bills with a bandana. I was wondering if anyone here has done that and if so what kind / brand of glue did you use? Also, do I need to burnish the flesh side of the leather before gluing the bandana in place? I have attached a picture as a reference. Thanks in advance! Tom
  2. Phil, Many thanks for your reply! I am about to message you now! Tom
  3. Hello everyone, I can't seem to get any replies regarding where to purchase Horween Dublin Natural leather. I see wallets all over the internet that are being made daily by hand using this leather but yet I can't seem to find a place to purchase it. Tannery Row has it but I have to buy it in bulk and I just simply cannot afford to go that route at this time. Rocky Mountain Leather Supply, Buckle Guy and District Leather Supply all carry it in small pieces that you can buy but they are out of stock and don't know when they'll have anymore. Any help that someone can provide will be much appreciated. Thanks!!
  4. Hello everyone! I am new to the forum and I apologize in advance if this is not the correct place to post this. I am looking for a few pieces of Horween Dublin Pull Up Veg Tanned Leather in the "Natural" color. I used to buy the 2 sq. ft. (12" x 24") pieces from Rocky Mountain Leather Supply but they are sold out and don't know when or if they are going to be getting any more. I have also ordered the Horween Dublin Brown Nut and English Tan from Buckle Guy but they also do not have the Horween Dublin in Natural. Does anyone know where I can purchase some in 3-4 oz. and 6 oz? I'm not interested in seconds at all, I want the best grade possible. Thanks a lot and hopefully someone can help me! Tom

  6. I am new to the group and leather making. I plan to hand sew a leather wallet and the leather that I will be using is 3.5 - 4 oz that I will be purchasing from The Tannery Row. My question is what size needle and thread do I need to use? I plan to use the fine diamond chisel for making the holes. Thanks a lot in advance!
