  9. Political Party Craftaid no. 4115 An interesting craft aid I've not seen before. I have had it for many years, but of course has not been used as I live in the UK. As you can see from the photograph, the craftaid is slightly warped but I've been able to test it and make a satisfactory impression with a spatula. Would anybody like to make me an offer. I'll leave it up for awhile to give folks a chance to see it. I'll hold on the carriage charge as you may like some of my other craftaids I have for sale. Thanks for reading.
  10. Bad Luck - I think your only solution is to regrind the tip and then polish up with a fine stone, emery cloth etc. If you haven't access to a grind stone then check out your nearest auto shop, engineering fabricators etc. If they do a good job offer them a free belt. That may get you further business.
  11. That's a great looking bag. Lovely stitching - Well done.
  12. Looking good - well done - first of many I hope.
  13. Looking good - Nice Job. A decorative line of stitching in colored thread could be added.

  18. I'm offering for sale my collection of MIDAS Stamps from the 1980's This a rare opportunity to obtain 125 of stamps that are have been discontinued for over 30 years. They have a fixed handle which is 4" long and finished with a herring bone pattern giving you a firm grip when striking. In the pattern display photo the coins are a 5 p and one Dime each approximately 18 mm or 11/16 " in diameter. With the ruler this should give you some idea of the stamp sizes. The majority are unused. ALL the patterns are as new with perfect clarity. 6 stamps have a slight burr where the mallet has hit and 15 stamps have a slight discoloration at the striking end because they were stored in a block of wood as seen in the photograph and the moisture from the wood overtime has have marked the metal. For any further information please send a PM. Abbreviation on the number list are 'D' = discoloration - B = Burr. There are 125 stamps, worth on the market in access of £1800 but I offer these for sale at £1250.----------- Payment can be sent through PayPal via friends and family to save additional charges. This package is approximately 11 lbs (5 kg) in weight and the carriage will be charged as per courier invoice. Usually £50 contents value is included, but additional insurance can be obtained. All these details can be verified when a buyer requests further details.

The only supplier I can find is http://www.traditionalmaterials.co.uk , but they are retail and far too expensive for the quantity I wish to purchase. If anybody has any contacts in the industry, please make contact.Thanks.
  21. Hi, Well after all these years I have eventually joined the Leatherwork forum. I'd like to introduce myself. I'm Peter from Northamptonshire in the UK. Back in the 70's my wife and I where on a trip in Scotland when we came upon a leatherwork shop and in the window display a handbag caught my wife's eye. So we went inside and chatted with the owner. I spied on a back shelf the large Tandy's beginner's kit. To cut a long story short. I bought my wife the handbag, the owner became a lifelong friend and I started my career in leatherwork. Some many years later and after a change of career I went into the building industry and unfortunately my leatherwork was put aside. In my retirement, I now have resurrected my workshop, and will be once again enjoying my leatherwork. Over the years I have bought many books and pieces of equipment, but now I find its time to downsize, so quite a few of these I no longer will be using. So please watch this space as I shall be having a clear-out and put them up for sale. Quite a few of these are unused and 'as new' so they will be excellent for beginners who wish to save some cash. My passion has always been to learn the art of leather cases. So I shall most likely concentrate on construction and stitching, with less emphases on carving decoration. Although I quite fancy creating some designs based on the Celtic tradition. Look forward to chatting with you all.
